Bus stop lighting proposal

Escrick Parish Council has been approached by residents to improve the lighting around the York bound bus stop on the A19 near Sangthai. 

We have now received a quote from City of York Council and plan to go ahead with it. Various options have been considered and it was decided that a solar light is not viable due to the overhanging trees in the vicinity. We therefore need to install a powered supply. We are hoping this will improve both visibility for bus drivers seeing residents waiting at the bus stop at night as well as safety.
