Making representations on the minerals and waste joint plan at publication stage
The Parish Council would like to draw attention to North Yorkshire County Council's minerals and waste joint plan - upon which residents can make representations until Wednesday 21st December.
Sites included in the plan local to Escrick include 112 hectares of quarrying and 'inert waste' landfill to the west of Escrick Business Park, and an anaerobic digestion facility on the site of the former North Selby Mine to the North East of the village. The applicant estimates 100 HGV vehicles per day accessing the first site, and 70 for the second.
The Parish Council has previously made representations on the plan, and will make an additional representation at this stage.
